Sycamore Trail

Sycamore Trail is a hiking trail in McKinney, Texas. It is within Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary. It is 0.8 miles long and begins at 558 feet altitude. Traveling the entire trail is 1.5 miles with a total elevation gain of 49 feet. The Wildflowers and Bois d'Arc tree information boards, the Deck, Trail Info, and Photo blind viewpoints, and the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary museum are near the trailhead. There are also trees, a picnic site, restrooms, and a wood. The Perkins Sycamore (b. 1855) tree can be seen along the trail. There is also an information board along the trail. The trail ends near the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and Tree: Largest Bur Oak in sanctuary, over 250 years old information boards. There is also a tree near the end of the trail. This trail connects with the following: Hoot Owl Trail and Laughlin Loop.
