Fast singletrack with some long, tricky, speedy descents and leg-burning climbs to match. This trail is exclusively for mountain bikes. The 8.5-mile intermediate loop is a fast and challenging trail that offers lightning-fast singletrack winding flat and smooth through thick stands of cedar as well as long, snaking climbs and boulder-strewn technical drops that will have your back tire brushing your bottom on more than one occasion. Tread: Mostly singletrack.

This trail used to be taken care of by TrailBlazers. As far as I know they have not been around for a while. The trail has some nice sections and challenging parts. The major problem is that it has not been maintained, and it can be easy to wander off and get far off the path. Some one needs to go out there with a chain saw to cut out a few of the large fallen trees. Lake Belton also over flowed in to some parts of the end of the trail this season. The good part is that even on the weekend I did not see a single person. Overall, you can get quite a work out on this trail.

Excellent ride! Excellent trail! We rode this trail on Labor day weekend, and nobody was out there. It is well maintained, and has many different types of terrain. There are smooth, winding sections through the trees; straight, open sections near the lake; and steep & rocky technical sections challenge most any rider. I've ridden many trails in Montana, Idaho and Utah; and this is definitely the best trail I've ridden in Texas!
