This is Dallas’s most-used trail, and for good reason. A long stretch of hard-packed singletrack that winds through some gorgeous woodland, the Northshore Trail offers riding hospitable to anyone brave enough to hop in the saddle. The climbs are short, and the rough spots are not too rough. The difficulty rating for this trail is a tough one to judge, as the Northshore Trail offers riding of many levels. Flat and twisty hardpack is perfect for beginners to get their legs and for experienced riders to test theirs, and a few of the steep drops and quick climbs should be tackled by knowledgeable hammerheads only. The trail is a pleasant and ridable one for most of the way, but there are a few spots that call for caution. The rough stuff is easily passable on foot, so don’t let it discourage you from riding here. Just walk those spots until you feel comfortable enough to ride them. Tread: Mostly singletrack.
