Lyndon B. Johnson National Grasslands Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"When planning your next tent-camping trip, the Lyndon B. Johnson National Grasslands is a nice surprise. While the name conjures visions of mile after mile of treeless expanse, the area is actually a huge park of trees, lakes, and rolling hills. The trail system covers more than 75 miles.
The TADRA Point trailhead functions as the confluence for the trail system. Local equestrian groups, whose volunteer labor created the extensive options into the backcountry, use this system. A good sign of remoteness is the bulletin board instructions labeled WHAT IF I GET LOST? As a final note, remember to check with the Grasslands headquarters about fire danger and what areas might be open to hunting."
