Navarro Mills Lake—Liberty Hill Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Navarro Mills Lake is described as the best-kept secret of the Fort Worth District of the Army Corps of Engineers. Liberty Hill Park is located on the southern shore of Navarro Mills. The lake holds the current state record for white crappie, and anglers come from all over to sample some of the best crappie fishing anywhere. In addition to fishing, Navarro Mills offers 5,060 acres of hunting, boating, hiking, and other activities available in parks and other public lands.

There are fishing piers in Liberty Hill, Oak, and Wolf Creek Parks, and no fee is charged for their use. Other amenities include two boat ramps (small launch fee), a playground, and a swimming beach. The Navarro Mills Lake Marina (254-578-1131), located in Liberty Hill Park, sells a wide assortment of supplies for boaters, anglers, picnickers, and campers. Hunting and fishing licenses are also sold at the store."
