"The Bull Canyon Trail is one of the more popular trails in Copper Breaks State Park, both for its accessibility and its charming destination, Bull Canyon. A nice, easy stroll for late afternoon or early morning, the trail is ideal for spotting wildlife such as cardinals, quails, owls, and songbirds, as well as small mammals. The trail follows a wide, grassy swath over a mesquite-covered mesa and deposits hikers along the rim of a small canyon amid juniper breaks. The canyon disrupts the relative monotony of the northwest Texas landscape in a rugged splintering of rock before pouring out onto the rolling plains of the prairie. The trail is typically maintained with a mower, thus providing a clear view of any animals crossing." Read more
