The Pecan Flats Trail (wheelchair accessible) and the rugged Green Trail travel through live oak, mountain juniper woodlands, across rock debris fields and over steep granite domes, and above the Inks Lake shoreline. Sometimes the trail disappears on the rock surface, as outcroppings of pink granite jut up through the limestone. Does with fawns can be seen in Pecan Flats among the Ashe’s junipers and prickly pear cactus. The view looking down from the domes of the 803-acre Inks Lake is inspiring.
