This park, located on a bend of the picturesque upper Colorado River above Lake Buchanan, has 12.3 miles of hiking trails. While many of those miles are through typical Hill Country landscape, there is also a trail along Spicewood Creek, which cascades for more than a mile down the hillside, and a stretch under tall trees along the river.

Lots of good scenery on this trail, and plenty of wildlife as well. The stream crossings are slippery, so waterproof shoes and a change of socks are in order.

I have hiked and backpacked these trails and they are wonderful. The scenery is spectacular. My 10 year old son will love this Park. Can't wait to take him.
