Lake Fannin Wilderness Park Professional Review and Guide
"When looking at the Texas map, the Caddo National Grasslands is a patchwork of heavily treed parkland. In the northwest corner is Lake Fannin and a rediscovered area that it seems time almost forgot. As you travel the gravel road and pass the small sign for Lake Fannin Historical Site, you cross an earthen dam with the scenic and placid lake to the left. Traveling straight ahead, the Lake Fannin Lodge appears on the right, and the 1940s come alive on the wood- plank dance floor, the huge beams overhead, and the three large fireplaces built to heat, not just look good."
