Bonham State Park Professional Review and Guide
"As you travel northeast from the traffic jams of Dallas and its booming suburbs, the rolling countryside of TX 121 is a welcome relief. The trees begin to outnumber the cars and the spaciousness of rural Texas allows you to relax your grip on the steering wheel. The relatively new restrooms and showers (even heated) are a short walk up the road on the right, and park headquarters is on the left in a stone building built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. It has not only a commanding view of the lake but also a large covered pavilion perfect for family reunions or other large groups. This pavilion also sits lakeside with easy access to the fishing pier and provides an ideal view of the resident Canadian snow geese enjoying the breeze and open water."
