Cibolo Nature Center: Prairie, Creekside, and Woodlands Trails Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Along the Creek Trail, towering bald cypress trees create a canopy for singing birds and darting dragonflies. Look into the clear water of Cibolo Creek to see red-eared slider turtles and catfish.
The 4-inch cone-shaped depressions in the sand are from armadillos looking for a meal. Go up a steep bluff to the Woodlands Trail, where the transition zone between the riparian forest, dominated by bald cypress trees, and the live oak savanna is striking."
