This hike makes a loop over the sandy hills and dales of Bastrop State Park, now bursting with fresh life after the devastating fire of 2011. From the stone gazebo at the lookout on Park Road 1A, the Red Trail winds south along Copperas Creek before breaking off to join the Orange Trail and heading back to the start point.
