This is one of the somewhat challenging rides in the park, as the trail traverses a couple decent hills and allows plenty of spots to get your speed up. It’s not horribly difficult, but it does pose a few tests of the vertical sort. I’d have to say that the best parts of this ride are the swimming holes along West Verde Creek, which runs parallel to the road. Make sure you come prepared for the chance to cool down in one of them. Tread: Mostly doubletrack, some singletrack.
