I've ridden this many times. It was the first trail I rode with my mountain bike and one I keep in the rotation today 4 years later. It's fast, fun and as challenging as you want to make it. Ride all of the extra credit loops for a longer tougher ride. Bring a lunch and make a day of it. Cool off mid ride on the lake and enjoy the trail.

Fun twisty singletrack through a variety of scrub oak, cedar, and cactus.

Not much elevation gain on the 6.5 mile one-way loop, but lots of places to hammer to get in shape for your XC season.

It's a girlfriend ride if you want to take it slow and easy on your SS, or more intense if you want to dial every corner and hit every turn at precision apex.

Enough little rocky sections that make you choose a fast line, but nothing scary or dismount-ing (unless you're too fat to ride a bike).

I like this trail a lot for its flow and the way it uses the natural landscape for its lines. Some new off piste development is a new bonus, but still, it's not the most challenging. Fun, and fast, and ripping out 14 miles (2 loops) is a good morning -- but Central Texas needs Muleshoe+Rocky Hill+Dr's Park + 401 + 403 + the Troybuilt Loop rolled into one trail. We have enough space, just not enough open minded pistol toting ranchers.

Awesome trail for mountain biking, well worth the drive!! Since I'm relatively new to the sport, there are some tough spots where I had to carry my bike. Also, bring plenty of water, even under the tree cover it gets hot & the trail doesn't cross any streams to cool off in.
