Turtletown Falls

Turtletown Falls Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"You will be surprised by the two significant waterfalls found on this hike. Follow sizeable Turtletown Creek downstream in a deepening mountain valley. Reach the twin drops of Turtletown Falls, roaring into a hefty plunge pool.

Resume down the rugged valley, pulling away from the creek. Finally drop to Lower Turtletown Falls, a very unusual cataract. First, it spills in tiers, then narrows in hourglass fashion, then widens to a V-shaped spillover. Your return hike loops past bluffs overlooking the Hiwassee River."
