Jake Best Campground lies in wooded solitude on a bluff overlooking Citico Creek. The seven sites are spaciously arranged along a gravel loop road. The two most popular sites are creekside, below the bluff. Though the isolated encampment lies in hilly terrain, the sites are level and well separated from one another. With so few sites, you’ll never be bothered by the endless drone of other car campers coming and going along the loop road. The campground and nearby stream are named for Jake Best, a settler from the mid-1800s; his house up the creek bears his name.
