The Walden Ridge section of the South Cumberland contains Bowater Inc. forests with hiking trails intended for use by the public. On this loop, located on the Piney River Tree Farm, you can climb atop Twin Rocks for a view east off the plateau and of the Piney River Gorge. Farther on, there are impressive cascades in the river and creeks. Camping is available at the Logging Camp along the trail and at Newby Branch Forest Camp.

Great hike. Need to leave a car at the bottom and at the top. Several bridges along the way.
