"The trails of Shelby Bottoms Nature Park were developed from west to east along the banks of the Cumberland River. The Nature Park offers paved greenways and primitive naturalsurfaced trails. This less-traveled East Loop travels both surfaces as it winds among old fields, beneath the foliage of huge trees, in forestland, and by the river where Nashville was founded."
