This is a challenging hike. It requires steep climbs and stream fords while passing through rugged terrain. Leave a high ridge and drop into Rock Creek, where you make your first ford. Head upstream in a rugged gorge, soon fording Rock Creek again, only to climb very steeply on a path also known as the Drop-Off Trail. Skirt above the falls and around the rim of the Thompson Creek Gorge before making one last ascent to Thompson Overlook. Outstanding Features: Thompson Overlook, and falls.
