If mountain biking is your passion, you will definitely want to spend a full weekend in the park. The park lies along the Cumberland Plateau in northeastern Tennessee and southeastern Kentucky. The Cumberland Plateau is a spur of the Appalachian Mountains spanning as far north as West Virginia and south as far as Birmingham, Alabama. Elevations level out into a tableland in the 1,500-to-2,000-foot range. The trails here are flat to rolling through forested areas. Trail conditions range from single track paths designated for mountain bikes only to wider equestrian trails shared with horseback riders. Brief stretches follow gravel roads traveled by the occasional car. Terrain: flat to rolling.
