This beautiful trail runs right alongside the Conasauga River on the Tennessee-Georgia State line. You can do it as the loop described here or combine it with the Iron Mountain Trail in Georgia. Should you do the combination, watch that river crossing - it's deep. And do the Iron Mountain section first! Highlights: Horse use, views of mountains, Conasauga River, fun downhill, rhododendron tunnels.

The river is post card beautiful. The trail along the river is wide single track and easy to ride. As you turn away from the river it's a climb up to the road to complete the loop. Be prepared to encounter horses. I'd suggest driving in from the northern access as the southern entrance is a very long Dirt service road. The views driving in are spectacular. You realize quickly you're in the middle of nowhere.
