There is so much to do at Norris Dam State Park and environs that it’s hard to know where to begin. What started as a flood control project during the Great Depression has resulted in a park with lake, river, and land recreation administered by the state of Tennessee and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Norris Lake, the result of Norris Dam, is one of the most attractive lakes in the South. A boating experience of any kind is bound to be a good one, whether it is for skiing, fishing, or just pleasure cruising. A commercial marina, on the far side of the dam from East Campground, will serve your boating needs.
