Big trees, deep woods, and a good view are all rolled into one hike located less than 10 air miles from downtown Nashville. This loop hike traverses land set aside by Luke Lea for a park near the town of Belle Meade, now enveloped by greater Nashville. Hikers will pass several large, old-growth trees amid a rich forest and Luke Lea Heights, which offers a farreaching view of the Nashville Basin, downtown Nashville, and beyond.

This trail is off the trace south of Nashville. It has several elv changes of about 250 ft. The trail is marked by white blazes that are sometimes hard to tell from tree fungus. Nice little creek at the bottom. The whole area makes you think you went back in time.
