Short Springs State Natural Area Hike

Short Springs State Natural Area Hike Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This woodland in Coffee County is one of the best hiking destinations in Middle Tennessee. A well-developed trail system passes by clear streams that form waterfalls as they drop off of the Eastern Highland Rim into the Nashville Basin. Dry, oak-cloaked ridges stand tall between these deep valleys where the water flows."

Fantastic little park! Trails were very well maintained. Machine Falls is stunning. The hike gets a little steep, but is well worth the effort.
