MetroCenter Levee Greenway Professional Review and Guide
"This elevated greenway travels atop a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers–built levee and provides a pleasant venue near downtown Nashville. Don’t let its urban setting deter you from checking it out."
--Johnny Molloy, 60 Hikes within 60 Miles: Nashville - 4th Edition (Menasha Ridge Press).
Did with family.... (wife 13 yeard old daughter and 7 yeard old son).... pretty good hike not to stenous... for a scenic point of view, just very blah.
Very nice trail. It does need a cleanup as the lake overflows the trash past the trail. An excellent trail to test your endurance. You can go two miles in then out or four miles in then out.
Overall this was an ok trail to run, pretty scenery and at times scenic views of the lake. It was relatively flat with some nice gradual inclines, no steep hills. At certain points the trail was rocky and would advise to walk at these points. Not as challenging as the Volunteer trail which is just a few miles up the road. However I would run this trail again, but remember this trail is not a loop.
