Ganier Ridge–Lake Trail Combination at Radnor Lake State Park Professional Review and Guide
"This hike combines the Access, Ganier Ridge, and Lake Trails to create a 2.7-mile loop. The Ganier Ridge Trail has a number of wood- and stone-stepped sections and a more challenging ridgetop climb, combined with the more tranquil lakefront hike on the Lake Trail, with benches on which to sit and take it all in along the way. Though the trail does not afford views, except in the winter, it is a pleasant, serene walk that is popular with joggers because of the steep inclines, steps, and the well- worn trail.
Radnor Lake State Park provides a unique and convenient opportunity to get away within the Nashville metropolitan area. Its trails are full of wildlife, including a wide variety of bird species, making it popular for bird watching. Its 1,332 acres have been declared a Class II Natural Area, entitled to special protections. Though it has only 6 miles of trails, they are well designed to give hikers the natural experience they seek."
