This hike passes woodlands, meadows, and creeks throughout a 207-acre area that hosts 124 bird species. Start at the Eagle Trail trailhead, adjoining the parking area, and head west. The Eagle Trail leads through the Iris Garden and connects to Roberts Walk. Portions of the trail are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Flower lovers will want to spend time in the Bicentennial Iris Garden that’s at the end of the Eagle Trail. Circle a ten-acre meadow, whose eastern portion borders Seven Mile Creek, which is a year-round haven for birds. The center is listed as an Official Arboretum by the Nashville Tree Foundation.
