Combine portions of the Loop and Shoreline Trails to see the best of Bledsoe Creek State Park. Small meandering streams border portions of the trail. Covered bridges and a gazebo add interest to the hike. This is the hike to see dozens of deer during spring and fall. Gallatin is 25 miles northeast of Nashville. The Loop and Shoreline Trails have been combined so hikers can see the best of the 164-acre Bledsoe Creek State Park. The park covers much of the west shore of the Bledsoe Creek embankment of Old Hickory Lake. The section of the creek that has been impounded forms a small recreational lake.
