Bells Bend Loop

Bells Bend Loop Professional Review and Guide

"Talk about turning bad into good. The city of Nashville purchased the Bells Bend area back in 1989 for use as a landfill. Luckily, former mayor Bill Purcell had other ideas for this scenic tract on the banks of the Cumberland, and two decades later we have a scenic park with hiking trails.

Bells Bend Park is the setting for this loop hike along the banks of the Cumberland River. It travels through rolling fields and alongside the big river, where you can enjoy vistas of hills and bluffs before returning to the trailhead. Opened in 2007, the park also has a nature center."
