Adeline Wilhoite River Trail

Adeline Wilhoite River Trail Professional Review and Guide

"This hike journeys along Duck River, a state scenic waterway, cruising through bottomlands and presenting aquatic panoramas before climbing to a bluff, where an observation tower overlooks restored native grassland. From there, make a loop through hardwood forests and cedar glades. Additionally, this hike has a backcountry campsite along the way, availing the possibility of backpacking during the trek.

Henry Horton State Park has long been a go-to recreation destination for greater Nashville. Adeline Wilhoite River Trail adds another reason to come here.
Along this path you will get to stride the shore of Duck River, maybe taking a side trip to one of the rock outcrops that stand along the Tennessee state scenic river."
