Mount Rogers Scenic Byway Motorcycle Ride Professional Review and Guide
"The shadow of the highest peak in the state, this route rolls through southern Virginia on the Mt. Rogers Scenic Byway. While never climbing Mt. Rogers’s 5,729-ft. elevation, you’ll have the opportunity to climb Haw Orchard Mountain (5,089 ft.) in the Grayson Highlands State Park.
Along the way, pay a visit to the start of the Virginia Creeper Trail, or just settle into the road’s rhythm of left, right, left, right. The real draws, though, are the superb road conditions and scenic views as you follow US 58, a smooth ribbon of freshly paved asphalt running through forests, along streams, and over mountain passes. Points of interest: The Virginia Creeper Trail, Bear Tree Recreation Area, Grayson Highlands State Park."
