Cherokee National Forest-South Fork Citico Sampler

Cherokee National Forest-South Fork Citico Sampler Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This hike explores the lowermost, gorgeous Citico Creek Wilderness, just south of the Smokies. Follow a foot trail past the confluence of North and South Fork Citico Creek.

Continue up South Fork Citico Creek, with its numerous cascades, rapids, and shoals pouring over rocks and boulders into still and deep pools. The hike wanders up the valley for nearly 2 miles. As no stream fords are required for this part of the trail, you can enjoy it during all season-winter with its icy cascades, summer for swimming, spring for wildflowers, and fall for colors."
