Lake, woods, and tree lovers will appreciate the new Couchville Lake Arboretum, which borders the trail. Deer and waterbirds are easy to see while following the trail as it does an easy loop around the lake. A 300-foot wooden bridge crosses the lake and affords great photo ops. Many short out-and-back paths lead to the lakes edge and several ponds that border the trail.
