Big Ridge State Park-Dark Hollow Loop

Big Ridge State Park-Dark Hollow Loop Professional Review and Guide

"This hike explore the human and natural history of Big Ridge State Park. Head out from the park lake and cross its dam.

After traveling the shores of big Norris Lake, leave the water and enter Dark Hollow, where prepark pioneers toiled. Loop around to pick up Ghost House Trail, where you may have a haunting from one Maston Hutchinson, who is buried in a trailside cemetery. If you make it beyond the cemetery, rejoin the Lake Trail for more watery views. A short backtrack returns you to the trailhead."
