Squibb Creek Falls

Squibb Creek Falls Professional Review and Guide

"This waterfall trek takes place in the Sampson Mountain Wilderness, part of the Cherokee National Forest. Along the way, the pools and rapids of Squibb Creek keep your senses entertained. You’ll need some fancy footwork to make the 15 or so rockhops. The walk ends at Squibb Creek Falls, a white wonder issuing over a mossy rock face.

More people should visit this lovely waterfall. The road is paved all the way to the trailhead and the hike’s beginning is conveniently located at a national forest campground and picnic area. The trek is scenic the whole way to the falls, but you do have to pay your fair share of attention to the numerous creek crossings, which under normal flows can be rock-hopped, thanks to trail crew–placed boulders in Squibb Creek."
