Hike up rock-walled Richland Creek valley, past the historic Richland Mine. Continuing up the gorge you will near the old Dayton Reservoir. Turn up bouldery Laurel Creek, winding up switchbacks to reach Laurel Falls, an 80-foot tumbler diving over a rock face. Climb to the gorge rim, crossing Laurel Creek to reach a pair of overlooks availing panoramas of this Cumberland Plateau treasure.
