The Flatwoods, squeezed between Holston Mountain and Holston Lake, are only somewhat flat. This route rolls along the edge of the mountain, making use of two gated forest service roads before returning alongside the lake. This is a good ride in wet weather. Highlights: Horse use, views of mountains and lake, wildlife areas, short rocky section.
