Looking for a quiet place to paddle near Nashville? Check out Sycamore Creek in the small town of Ashland City. You’ll find Sycamore Creek about halfway between Nashville and Clarksville. This small creek is a wonderful spot to recharge with a relaxing paddle or to go kayak fishing. It’s very easy to paddle here – there isn’t a lot of current so this is a great spot for those just learning to paddle or those who want to take it easy. The scenery is beautiful – typical Middle Tennessee foliage in its natural state. The Hwy 12 launch is a great place to put-in, as is the Sycamore Creek Recreation area.
