Donner Lake Rim Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Ultimately, the Donner Lake Rim Trail (DLRT) will be what its name suggests-a 23- mile trail around the rim of the picturesque lake. Presently, only about half of the trail exists, with the segment described here being one of the latest additions.

By incorporating this new segment of trail with existing trails through Tahoe Donner and sections of the Pacific Crest and Summit Lake trails, a continuous 13-mile trip from a trailhead near Skislope Way in Tahoe Donner to the saddle between Donner Peak and Mt. Judah is now possible."
