A connecting series of trails at the summit of Big Hill, taking hikers through beautiful stands of quaking aspen, paper birch, and ponderosa pine and past sporadic views of the surrounding area. Fall is a perfect time to hike the many trails of this area as gold aspens and birches shimmer against the dark green ponderosa pines. Early in the morning, families of deer still browse and coyotes howl across the ridgetops. This is prime elk habitat, too. This is rolling country, with the trails following the gentle slopes. All trails wander through the mixed stands of trees in the woods.Atop Big Hill solitude abounds and offers hikers a chance to enjoy the peace and a variety of views.

Easy to moderate is correct. In the winter these trails serve as one of our local cross country ski areas. The trails are well marked and you will encounter some awesome views along with some birch and aspen groves.
