The trail winds through woods on a ridge above Spring Creek and can be hiked on its own or as part of the Flume Trail. Part of the Flume Creek Recreation Trail, Spring Creek Loop is marked by the distinctive red, white, and blue NRT markers on posts for the first 2 miles. The path is marked for foot travel only. From the trailhead parking lot, we hiked counterclockwise, following the sign for Spring Creek Loop to the north. The trail immediately parallels an old road that is obviously intended to be returned to a natural condition. A comfortable path, the trail meanders along a cliff edge and through stands of ponderosa pine.
