Mill Pond Nature Trail—Woods Bay State Park

Mill Pond Nature Trail—Woods Bay State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"First and foremost, I must warn you that large alligators do inhabit this park. Please keep the dogs on a leash, and away from the water at all times! Beyond the threat of alligators this is a wonderful unpopulated park.

Birdlife is abundant, and you’ll gain insight into a unique natural feature known as a Carolina bay. Hickory, pine, and cypress offer shade, and although you’re hiking through a damp marshland, you’re able to keep your feet dry."
