Mile Creek County Park

Mile Creek County Park Professional Review and Guide

"Lake Keowee renders you speechless at this delightful county park. The vivid green water in contrast with the red clay of the shoreline is jaw dropping. The fact that this park is less frequented than the other two Pickens County–run campgrounds makes this even more enjoyable.

Mile Creek Park has all the usual amenities of a local community park, with waterfront playgrounds and picnic shelters, a swim beach, and a boat ramp. If you prefer to stay
on dry land, they have a basketball net and volleyball net too. Or you can take a quick jaunt over to Pickens and visit the Hagood Grist Mill or the Pickens County Museum. The campground at Mile Creek sits on a small, hilly peninsula, with every site within clear view of the lake."
