Waterfalls of Northern Lake Jocassee Paddle

Waterfalls of Northern Lake Jocassee Paddle Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This paddle will take you to one of South Carolina’s premier waterfalls via the state’s most beautiful impoundment—Lake Jocassee. Be apprised this is a long paddle, and you have a couple of open water crossings that could prove troublesome in windy or stormy conditions. Start this paddle at Devils Fork State Park, then charge north, crossing open water near Double Springs boat-in campground.

Next, head up the Toxaway River arm of the lake before turning east to face the cliffs of Bully Mountain. Penetrate farther north before turning into the Laurel Fork Creek embayment. You will pass an access to the Foothills Trail, then hear the roar of Laurel Fork Falls. Enter a misty rock chamber with mossy wet walls into which the falls pours."
