This half day loop offers fairly steep ascents and descents, impressive rock outcrops, and good views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the northern portion of Lake Keowee. The Raven Rock Trail ascends over and around boulders, eventually emerging on a rocky ridge with a clear understory. The trail follows a series of ups and downs around McKinney Mountain. A rocky area near the top allows you an excellent view west to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Farther along, another vista overlooks Lake Keowee.
