Detailed Trail Descriptions from Our Guidebooks

"For a trail that’s not located very deep within the mountain region of the state, this is by far one of the most challenging hikes in this book. The first half-mile is easy, but beyond the spillway you begin to steeply climb a rocky path as you head up the mountain. Whether you have two legs or four, you’ll be getting your workout in for the day. Luckily, there are plenty of creek crossings for the dogs to stay cool, and for you to take a break as you watch them splash about." Read more
