Detailed Trail Descriptions from Our Guidebooks

"Miles of hiking and biking trails crisscross the expanse of Paris Mountain State Park. The Lake Placid Trail is by far the easiest of them all. The smooth, wide, and fairly flat trail leads you on a lovely loop around Lake Placid. You’ll take in the scenery while the dogs hop in for a dip. Then as you reach the eastern end of the lake, a splendid spillway greets you. Geese gather at the brink, peeking over while you cross a footbridge at the base. The park is within easy reach of Greenville, and well worth a visit." Read more
