Until the new singletrack is complete, the Lakeshore Trail offers a pleasant ride. This shaded old roadbed consists of grass and hard-packed sand and runs parallel to Lake Marion, with occasional views of the water. The trail ends near the swimming area. On the Lakeshore Trail, which extends half the length of the park, you will pedal through a pine-hardwood forest with an understory of dogwood and sassafras. Several live oaks line the lakeshore. Take a ride at dusk and you are sure to see wild turkey and deer. Tread: Wide old roadbed.
