Myrtle Beach State Park

Myrtle Beach State Park Professional Review and Guide

"Tall trees and colorful wildflowers line the road as you enter Myrtle Beach State Park. It’s touted as South Carolina’s very first state park, and they’ve done a fabulous job of keeping up appearances since its inception in 1936.

This beachfront park has a full mile of oceanfront property, and large picnic shelters line the grassy fields just west of the sand dunes. A fishing pier juts out into the Atlantic Ocean, and you can fish from the pier or the shore, as long
as you have a South Carolina state fishing license. During the winter months, visitors are welcome to bring their own horses and ride on the beach."
