Little River

Little River Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This scenic trip is a highlight of the greater Little River Blueway, a collection of paddling opportunities near Lake Thurmond that also includes streams flowing into the impoundment. This particular paddle travels down the intimate Little River as it courses through the Long Cane District of the Sumter National Forest.

The fleet and sandy stream cuts a mini valley through wooded hills before opening and slowing as it joins the impounded waters of Lake Thurmond. Though riverine in nature, the lower part of the Little River is still-water lake paddling."
